| Resumen : | El turismo ha crecido en los últimos años, lo cual ha obligado a que los centros turísticos se reinventen, es por esto que se ha considerado a los sistemas de información como una herramienta primordial que puede ser aplicada para apoyar al turismo en la ciudad de Ambato. En el contexto del área turística, la recuperación del turismo es primordial, se puede mencionar que los sistemas de información y el desarrollo del turismo sostenible se gestionan de forma tradicional. En tal sentido, el objetivo de la presente investigación es analizar la existencia de sistemas de información turística para el desarrollo sostenible turístico en la ciudad de Ambato. La investigación cuenta con un enfoque de investigación cualitativo y cuantitativo, es necesario aplicar el enfoque cualitativo debido a que se pretende analizar la existencia de sistemas de información turística para el desarrollo sostenible turístico, por otro lado, el enfoque cuantitativo se utiliza al aplicar un método estadístico para correlacionar las variables aplicadas. Para el desarrollo de esta investigación, se consideró como muestra a las autoridades encargadas de turismo y técnicos de planificación de las 15 parroquias rurales que forman parte de la ciudad de Ambato, se entrevistó a 18 personas responsables de las parroquias. En tal sentido, se obtiene que, las Parroquias Rurales del Cantón Ambato no poseen sistemas de información turística, al igual que desarrollo turístico sostenible; esto se debe al desconocimiento de las autoridades locales sobre el potencial de la ciencia del turismo, se recalca que los sectores rurales visitados poseen grandes potenciales turísticos que van desde atractivos naturales, gastronómicos, culturales y promoción de productos. Por ello, es necesario la intervención de más instituciones tanto públicas como privadas, así como de la propia comunidad, puesto a que de esta manera se puede entender las desventajas que existen al no tener un sistema de información turístico. |
| Descripción : | Tourism has grown in recent years, which has forced tourist centers to reinvent themselves, which is why information systems have been considered as a primary tool that can be applied to support tourism in the city of Ambato. In the context of the tourist area, the recovery of tourism is the most essential aspect, it can be mentioned that the information systems and the development of sustainable tourism are managed in a traditional way. In this sense, the objective of this research is to analyze the existence of tourist information systems for sustainable tourism development in the city of Ambato. The research has a qualitative and quantitative research approach, it is necessary to apply the qualitative approach because it is intended to analyze the existence of tourist information systems for sustainable tourism development, on the other hand, the quantitative approach is used when applying a method statistic to correlate the applied variables. For the development of this research, the authorities in charge of tourism and planning technicians of the 15 rural parishes that are part of the city of Ambato were considered as a sample, 18 people responsible for the parishes were interviewed. In this sense, it is obtained that, the Rural Parishes of the Ambato Canton do not have tourist information systems, as well as sustainable tourism development; This is due to the ignorance of the local authorities about the potential of the science of tourism, it is emphasized that the rural sectors visited have great tourist potential that range from natural, gastronomic, cultural attractions and product promotion. For this reason, the intervention of more institutions, both public and private, as well as the community itself, is necessary, since in this way the disadvantages that exist by not having a tourist information system can be understood |
