El financiamiento de proyectos educativos por el Banco Mundial como fuente para el desarrollo de la educación en el Ecuador

Abstract

The present investigation has like objective the study of the contribution of the educational projects financing by the World Bank in the development of the education sector in Ecuador with the purpose of understanding the benefit that gives the monetary resource financed by this international organism. To adequately sustain the variables consultations were created in various sources of information that originated in the theoretical framework. The methodology was a qualitative and quantitative approach. The mode was documentary and retrospective within a descriptive level. For the treatment of the information it was used data collection tables, in which the results of each specific project were examined, in order to present the indicators to be taken into account. In addition, mathematical calculations were applied that determined the contribution of the World Bank to the education of the country. Finally, the results were analyzed and interpreted responding to the proposed guidelines questions. The research gave a positive evidence in the variation of educational indicators of the country with the projects made by the World Bank, however it presents low digits. This results means that there is a positive contribution from the World Bank to education in Ecuador but not in a large scope.
