“La disfunción familiar y su influencia en las conductas agresivas en mujeres privadas de la libertad”

Abstract

The main objective of this project was to measure the levels of family dysfunction and to verify the influence on the aggressive behavior of people deprived of their liberty (PPL)in the women's pavilion of the Adult Prison Center in conflict with the law in “Ambato”. First the set levels of family dysfunction and later identify the levels of aggressiveness according to age, to achieve this goal the people was divided into three age groups. Research is of the correlational type with a quantitative approach. The study sample consisted of 80 female inmates who were evaluated using the family functional Questionnaire (FF-SIL) and the Buss and Perry aggression questionnaire (AQ). Appliedthe Chi square statistics test, it can be observed that there was a relationship between the variables, since the p value is lower than α (p = 0.016 <α = 0.05), verifying the alternative research hypothesis. From the results obtained it was evident that the families considered dysfunctional and severely dysfunctional have high levels of aggressive behavior, in the same way it was found that women preferentially use verbal aggression as a defense mechanism in the face of any adverse situation. Prisoners in the young adult age group have high levels of aggression compared to other age groups.
