Abstract: Risk management is one of the areas of knowledge that every school must handle efficiently, identifying risks and establishing the causes and effects , ie , expressing clearly can happen and it affects us .. The aim of this research work is to study the impact of institutional evaluation in order to improve risk management. The method used is descriptive. The art of the survey questionnaire was used as instrument for risk management . Through the study and analysis of the results of the surveys in the " Bolivar " Educational Unit concluded that it is important that the Institutional Educational Project (PEI ) is built and maintained by the set of principals, teachers , students, staff service and parents, and socialized from time to time in order to promote opportunities for training and simulation exercises and simulations of which must be coordinated with the Operating System institutions of the National Civil Defence and link to PEI Emergency Plan city . The implementation of the proposal on the development of guidance on institutional risk management plan , strengthen education management processes to increase risk prevention culture that allows us to address the effects of phenomena generated by the dynamics of nature such as earthquakes, frost ; socionatural caused by nature such as floods , landslides and forest fires; and anthropogenic that are caused by human activities such as industrial accidents, traffic , pollution, mining activities without compliance program and environmental management or unauthorized
