Item type:Ítem, Planificación urbana mediante indicadores de sostenibilidad para crear superficie verde pública en un cuadrante de 200 x 200 metros en el sector El Recreo, Ambato(UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO; FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA CARRERA DE ARQUITECTURA, 2026-07-07) ;Lucero Chisaguano Eliana Abigail ;Córdova Cruz Byron RenéUNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO; FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA CARRERA DE ARQUITECTURAThe study is located in the El Recreo neighborhood of Ambato and focuses on a technical analysis of a defined 200 x 200-meter grid. This area is in a state of critical deterioration, characterized by a complete lack of functional green infrastructure— technically registering a value of zero per inhabitant—and a high rate of soil sealing. Given this scenario, it is crucial to apply sustainability indicators such as urban tree diversity and perceived green space to mitigate the urban heat island effect. The proposed approach argues that introducing green infrastructure into public spaces mitigates the heat island effect, noise, and air quality issues, thereby enhancing livability without compromising the functionality of the existing built environment. The methodological process employs direct observation and graphic synthesis techniques using base mapping, within the framework of ecosystem-based urban planning and the Sustainable Compact Neighborhoods methodology. Variables related to mobility, biodiversity, and urban metabolism were evaluated to design an efficient biotic support network that ensures physical proximity to local basic services. The final proposal implements a vegetation network articulated by pocket parks and native vegetation along roadways, achieving greater diversity in urban tree cover. This physical intervention redesigns the public road network to prioritize pedestrians, reducing noise by five decibels and regulating ambient temperature by twelve degrees Celsius. The comprehensive transformation ensures a resilient urban system focused on community well-being and the proactive restoration of ecosystem services vital to the city.Item type:Ítem, "Análisis del estado actual del sistema de movilidad del Campus Huachi de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato con indicadores de sostenibilidad"(UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO; FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA CARRERA ARQUITECTURA, 2026-07-03) ;Pozo Verdezoto Brigette Anahí ;Córdova Cruz RenéUNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO; FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA CARRERA ARQUITECTURAThe present research addresses urban mobility within the Huachi Campus of the Technical University of Ambato, considering objective results based on sustainability indicators. This analysis makes it possible to determine the percentage of suitable criteria that allow the space to be continuously accessible and walkable. The study arises from the need to understand accessibility, inclusion, and sustainability, which influence people who travel along the public roadway and also respond to environmental deterioration. Its purpose is to provide a research contribution to one of the most common problems in the urban environment and to support decision making aimed at improving deficient indicators. The evaluation process is composed of information gathering through diverse methods, recording elements according to their location, dimensions, and influence on campus mobility and urban infrastructure. Data systematization is presented clearly and subsequently adapted to the indicators. This leads to an overall percentage for each evaluated consideration, enabling a comprehensive analytical descriptive reading. The results show that both pedestrian and vehicular components present parameters that hinder the desired sustainability percentages. Their relationship reveals that private vehicles still predominate over walkability, highlighting the urgent need for higher priority infrastructure interventions. Furthermore, imbalances in the internal public transport network negatively affect service quality, while findings provide a baseline for future studies and guidelines for sustainable campus planning and encourage policies that prioritize non motorized transport, universal accessibility, integrated transit, safety, equity, and environmental responsibility for students, staff, and visitors across the campus community today and in future planning processes and implementation.Item type:Ítem, Planificación urbana mediante indicadores de sostenibilidad para crear superficie verde pública en un cuadrante de 200 x 200 metros en el sector El Recreo, Ambato(UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO; FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA; CARRERA ARQUITECTURA, 2026-07-01) ;Lucero Chisaguano Eliana Abigail ;Córdova Cruz Byron RenéUNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO; FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA; CARRERA ARQUITECTURAThe study is located in the El Recreo neighborhood of Ambato and focuses on a technical analysis of a defined 200 x 200-meter grid.
