    Representación mediática y contenido digital: El caso de los niños afroecuatorianos de Las Malvinas

    This research describes how the case of Afro-Ecuadorian minors in Las Malvinas was represented in the media and digital content. The question to be answered is: How are media Tepresentations of Afro-Ecuadorian children in Las Malvinas perceived by the audience? To this end, a mixed methodology is used, with survey techniques for the Afro-Ecuadorian and mestizo populations, as well as content and discourse analysis in the digital media Primera Plana ECU and Ecuador TV. By applying these techniques, it is found that the Afro population is not represented in the media, and that the case of Afro-Ecuadorian minors is exposed in the media two weeks after their disappearance. The media outlets in the sample do not mention the ethnic identity of the victims of forced disappearance. When compared with other studies, it is determined that discrimination and racism are still present in Ecuador. However, this is not a problem unique to the country, but rather an international issue. Furthermore, it is noted that there is no significant Afro-Ecuadorian presence in the media. Therefore, it is concluded that there is invisibility and inequality in the media sphere towards the Afro-Ecuadorian people. In addition, public perceptions are divided, with some in favor of the government and others seeking justice, transparency, and clarification of the Las Malvinas case.

    Social Responsibility (SR), although it is a topic that has been booming for some years in several countries, is relatively new in Ecuador. As a society, we must be aware of the importance of its correct application and demand that the services and products we receive maintain affinity with this conduct of respect towards the community. The implementation of SR in the business environment, specifically in the Decentralized Autonomous Governments, is a topic that, although it can become controversial, should not be forgotten. The exhaustive knowledge that this research aims to provide is what will lead us to achieve a community that trusts its authorities and that is willing to support their initiatives because there will be the certainty that their interests are being looked after. The objective of this study is to know the level of knowledge that exists on the subject among GADMA workers, to determine the influence that Social Work has in the application of Social Responsibility in this institution and to identify the type that is applied in the Municipality, so that based on this we can offer the best proposal to make Social Responsibility effective using the knowledge and skills of the Social Worker. With this purpose, we have used a quantitative methodological design, applying a questionnaire specifically designed for the collection of the data we need to support this work, this was applied to a group of workers from different departments and secretariats, in order to know in a generalized way the state in which the use of this commitment to society is. The conclusions obtained are based on the perceptions of the people surveyed on the management of the implementation of projects and services that have been provided in order to offer better conditions to the collaborators of this entity, about which there is little clarity, from the conceptual vacuum, the benefits or who are in charge of executing them. Finally, it is proposed the creation of a manual for the correct application of Social Responsibility in the municipalities, based on the knowledge and clarification of functions

    Los derechos humanos y la desaparición forzada de las personas

    A pesar del transcurrir de los años y de los Gobiernos de facto y las Dictaduras Militares, en donde prácticamente a diario se daban desapariciones forzadas de personas que de una u otra manera estaban en oposición a las ideologías políticas, Actualmente el país cuenta con un sinnúmero de casos de este tipo de delitos. Se ha establecido que es importante la investigación puesto que al tratarse de un tema de conmoción social, es responsabilidad de las Autoridades judiciales dar un seguimiento correcto a todos los delitos y aún más cuando se traten de delitos de lesa – humanidad, que afectan incluso a las familias de los desaparecidos. La Constitución de la República del Ecuador así como Los Instrumentos Internacionales de Derechos Humanos, en concordancia con el Código Orgánico Integral Penal, prohíben de manera drástica las desaparición forzada de personas y es considerada como un delito de lesa – humanidad, que tiene como sanción la pena privativa de libertad de veintidós a veintiséis años y cabe recordar que en este tipo de delitos la pena es imprescriptible. La presente investigación está enfocada al planteamiento de una propuesta que permita que las investigaciones en este tipo delito, se adecuen a la varadera situación de las personas que están desaparecidas, evitando de esta manera la impunidad de las desapariciones de personas, estableciendo así directrices para los Fiscales, Policía Judicial y Jueces en beneficio de la protección de derechos de todas las personas que han sido vulnerado sus derechos.
