    The present investigation is of great importance since at present the family businesses are those that contribute economically to the development of the textile and manufacturing sector of the city of Pelileo, identified the problem seeks that the family businesses adapt to the generational changes with a adequate management where the main objective is to determine how the generational impact on continuity management affects the professionalization of the family business leaving behind the empirical management of the textile and manufacturing sector of the Pelileo canton, which had a qualitative approach, was used updated bibliography, degree works, scientific articles, etc., from there was born a questionnaire of 14 well-structured questions, later through a survey the information was collected from the 54 owners of family businesses in the city of Pelileo, and carried out an analysis and interpretation of the answers which indicated to results that indicate that the companies of the sector need plans that help the management of the generational change therefore the proposal of improvement is to design a succession plan for the company Mobatex of the Pelileo canton.

    Rol de la mujer en el cambio generacional en las empresas familiares de la provincia de Tungurahua

    Family businesses, the main interest of its founder is to maintain itself over time, transferring its legacy to the next generations without losing its family identity. The objective of the present investigation is to identify the role of women in the generational change in the family enterprises of the province of Tungurahua, being the woman part fundamental in a process of succession in the family enterprise, that brings well-being, communication, agility in the process, and helps to create a balance between family and company. In the research, the data collection technique is the survey, taking as a sample 378 family businesses in the province of Tungurahua, where the value given by the owners to the women in the generational change was determined, the same ones that are considered leaders emotional, as well as educators of future generations and important in the transmission of values; in addition, that family enterprises are allowed to progress professionally with greater opportunity to obtain managerial positions. For the above, it is determined that the family companies intend to prepare potential successors with values through the family nucleus led by the woman, who will form the future successor without losing its essence of maintaining family ties and its emotional character.
