Item Patadas chagui en la coordinación motriz en estudiantes de educación general básica elemental(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y Deporte, 2025-01-17) Ramos Naveda Jennifer Carolina; Villalba Garzón Gabriela Alexandra; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y DeporteThis study examines the impact of practicing Chagui kicks on the motor coordination of Elementary General Education students at the Adventist Educational Unit Ambato. Utilizing a quasi-experimental design with a single group and a sample of 18 students, the Body Coordination Test for Children (KTK) was administered before and after an 8-week intervention focused on Chagui kick training in Taekwondo. The results indicate significant improvements in balance skills and a strong positive correlation between pre-test and post-test measurements, demonstrating substantial enhancement in motor coordination. Additionally, the reliability of the instrument used was high (Cronbach’s Alpha > 0.98). The significant differences in weight between sexes suggest the need to consider biological factors in future research on motor coordination. These findingssupport the effectiveness of Taekwondo as an educational tool for motor development in children, recommending its incorporation into school physical education programs. Recommendations include ongoing instructor training, the integration of psychological factorsin training, and conducting future research with larger samples to generalize the findings.
