    The purpose of this study was to investigate how extrinsic motivation affects the development of the oral skills of students of ninth year of basic education from Bautista private school. The research starts by conducting a survey to teachers and students, allowing to determine the following findings: Teachers rarely use extrinsic motivation in the classroom. Therefore the results of this study indicate that extrinsic motivation affects the development of the oral skills of students. This research work proposes the creation of a manual activities using extrinsic motivation to develop oral skills and to enhance the learning of the English language; providing appropriate conclusions and recommendations to support teaching and learning through motivation and to improve English oral skills. Based on the information obtained from the educational institution, through surveys, direct observation, bibliographic and virtual material extended this research, execution of this manual will be a very important tool that will demonstrate the development of oral skills of students and teachers.
