Item Estudio de factibilidad para la producción de una crema hidratante, suavizante y protectora de rayos UV a base de aceites vegetales de mandarina (Citrus reticulata) y naranja (Citrus sinensis) en el cantón Ambato, provincia de Tungurahua(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. In order to include a product on the market that meets people's needs, a feasibility study was carried out for the production of a moisturizing, softening and UV-protective cream based on tangerine and orange vegetable oils. In the market study, a survey was applied to people between 15 and 70 years of age in the Ambato canton, managing to determine the requirements of the target market, as well as their needs in terms of skin care, identifying that 77 percent is willing to purchase the product and that 23 percent would be the consumers to whom the product must be sold. In the technical study, it was possible to identify the optimal place of the company, which is in the Atahualpa parish, belonging to the Ambato canton, the characteristics of the product were also analyzed, as well as the raw material and equipment necessary for production and marketing. Fleas in pets are a common problem in domestic animals. As a consequence, a feasibility study was developed for the anti-fleas soup with rosemary (salvia rosmarinus). This soup reflects a high potential antimicrobial activity by properties of the plant. In this way, the impact of the product is favorable within the natural products market for the care and grooming of pets. Market research was done where a sample population was established based on the number of households in Ambato city where the supply and demand of pet grooming products were obtaining. In addition, a technical study to determine the location, as well as a process of identification and ethanolic extraction of rosemary, elements that intervene in the production process for the correct distribution of each of the areas of the plant, taking into account factors such as: processes, machinery, staff and space, complying with quality control as it is a grooming and body hygiene product for pets. Finally, an economic-financial analysis reflecting NPV values of 13,126.36 USD with a discount rate of 12 percent, an IRR value of 28.47 percent, a benefit-cost ratio of 1,56 USD, and a PRI value of 2 years 7 months, thereby demonstrating that the proposal is possible and sustainable.Item Estudio de factibilidad para la creación de una empresa de producción de xilitol a base de levaduras aisladas de frutos de durazno (Prunus persica), fresa (Fragaria vesca) y manzana (Malus doméstica) en el cantón de Ambato de la provincia de Tungurahua(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Bioquímica, 2022-03) Bombón Nuela, Adriana Esmeralda; Valencia Silva, Alex FabiánXylitol or birch sugar is a substitute for sugar, which has gained popularity in recent years, its flavor is like to of sugar cane, since its original and natural glycemic index makes it the first option of sweeteners for diabetics. For this reason, a feasibility study was carried out for the creation of a company that produces xylitol based on fruit yeasts, which is used to control or prevent diabetic, prediabetic or metabolic diseases. The market study was carried out, which showed that 99 percent of consumers of calorie-free sweeteners would be willing to purchase the product in the city of Ambato. In addition, the technical study that determined the optimal location of the plant being the Totoras in Ambato city, province of Tungurahua with the highest weighting. Finally, the economic-financial study indicated a NPV value of 80,537.63dollars, an IRR of 74 percent, an R per B cost benefit ratio of 1.64, an ROI of 26 percent and a PRI of 1 year 5 months. Therefore, in view of this problem, a financial feasibility study was carried out to produce and market a moisturizing cream based on eggshells for the prevention and control of skin dehydration. A market study was conducted by applying surveys to the target market to verify the acceptance of the new product in the city of Ambato, revealing the supply and demand of moisturizing cosmetic products to establish the unsatisfied demand. The technical study determined the location and distribution of the industrial plant, considering the design, availability of raw materials, labor, availability of basic services and equipment necessary for the production process of moisturizing cream based on eggshells to market it in compliance with packaging and labeling regulations. Finally, an economic-financial analysis was carried out to determine the feasibility, viability and profitability of the project; a net present value (NPV) of 34,752.47 USD was obtained, with an internal rate of return (IRR) of 37 percent, a cost-benefit ratio of 1.43 USD and a payback period of three years and six months.Item Estudio de factibilidad para la creación de una empresa de laboratorios virtuales para simulación de procesos microbiológicos y bioquímicos en la ciudad de Ambato, provincia de Tungurahua(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. However, several limitations have been identified that have been accentuated by the COVID-19 health emergency. For this reason, the educational field has seen the need to implement technological tools that make it possible to meet the needs of education and modernise the teaching-learning process. Through the project developed, the feasibility was determined for the implementation of a virtual laboratory company for the simulation of microbiological and biochemical processes. The market study determined the acceptance of 25 and 26 percent of the sample of teachers and students respectively to acquire a licence for their own account. However, 100 percent of teachers and 66 percent of students agree that the educational institution should purchase these licences. The technical study located the company in the city of Ambato, province of Tungurahua, the technical characteristics of the product, the minimum requirements for its execution and the graphic identity criteria. Given this problem, an anti-inflammatory ointment based on essential oils such as cannabis, rosemary and lavender was developed to reduce pain due to its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. A feasibility study was carried out taking into account the market, technical and economic studies, where the product demand was analyzed through surveys carried out to a target market, having a good acceptability of the ointment by the surveyed population, covering 4.42 percent in the first year. In the technical study, the location was determined using the weighted factors method and the optimal distribution of the plant with the different production processes and implementation of machinery, equipment, infrastructure and trained personnel. Once the anti-inflammatory ointment was produced, its label and information was designed with its respective packaging, and the necessary capacity for its respective commercialization was obtained. Carrera de Ingeniería Bioquímica, 2021-03) Viteri Basantes, Jennifer Magaly; Vega Pérez, José GeovannyThe growing demand for food has forced farmers to abuse pesticides in an attempt to safeguard their products. thus generating negative health effects from direct and indirect exposure; in response to this problem, a feasibility study was carried out in the province of Tungurahua for the development and implementation of a plant for the production of a low toxicity biodegradable pesticide based on the rotenone of the barbasco (Lonchocarpus utilis), in the Tungurahua province. The study in the province of Tungurahua was based on analysis of: market, technical and financial. In the market study was defined, by a survey applied to farmers in the cantons of Mocha, Cevallos, Tisaleo and Quero, the potential, the degree of acceptance, the unsatisfied demand and the existing supply. The technical study determined the location, distribution, cost estimates (labor, machinery, equipment, packaging and labeling), according to the needs. We targeted 10 percent of the unsatisfied demand, thus covering a daily demand of 763 units. The economic study revealed an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 162.2 percent, a Net Present Value (NPV) of 314,854.00 dollars with a break-even point (EP) of 75,882.00 dollars equivalent to 5,913 units of product. The cost-benefit ratio of 2.24 dollars indicates that the initial investment would be recovered in 7 months and 24 days, making clear the profitability of the project.
