    “Aplicación de un programa de entrenamiento fisico no invasivo en incontinencia urinaria en mujeres adultas mayores de la parroquia de Picaihua”

    Urinary incontinence is a high prevalence disorder that mainly affects women who present involuntary loss mainly affects women who present involuntary loss of urine due to their postmenopausal physiological changes,advanced age, vaginal births and multiparity and although it is not considered a cause of high morbidity or mortality, it has a great negative impact that causes limitations in their daily activities,whether of a hygienic or social nature, and yet they d not carry out any therapeutic intervention , deteriorating their quality of life more and more. For this reason , physiotherapeutic intervention aimed at reducing the severity of symptoms is important, so the main objective of this research is to determine the effectiveness of non-invasive physical training in urinary incontinence in older adult women of the Picaihua Parish. Exercises are intended for training and strengthening the pelvic floor through the application of the Kegel technique, lumbopelvic stabilization (CORE) and Hypopressive gymnastics. The method of study of this research is qualitative-quantitative, documentary and descriptive-lengthwise that had the participation of 37 older women for 12 weeks with a total of 25 sessions of approximately 45 minutes, also carrying out an initial, intermediate evaluation and a final reassessment.It is concluded that 81% of the population no longer report urine losses due to physical or emergency effort after the intervention.However 22% did not show improvement or maintained their frequency of loss due to various factors such as high BMI, visual impairmente and auditory to follow the voice commands during the exercises.

    “Efectividad de la intervención fisioterapéutica en la incontinencia urinaria en mujeres de la tercera edad de la parroquia de Santa Rosa - Apatug”

    Urinary incontinence is the lost of involuntary urine and it has major prevalence in elderly people and also in females, due that women’s are more prone to suffer from pelvic floor dysfunction(PFD) during either pregnancy, births, habits and lifestyle, the main goal of the present investigation is to determine the effects of the physiotherapeutic intervention in the urinary incontinence of the elderly women of the Santa Rosa parish- Apatug. This research is a type of bibliography-documental, descriptive- explanatory and quantitative, that same that had 14 participants, who assisted to 10 sessions being this the first to perform the initial evaluation and the last and final evaluation, in witch in the questionnaire ICIQ-SF was use. While in the 8 remaining sessions hypopresives and Kegel exercises were applied. Subsequence implementation of the application protocol and performing the final evaluation it concludes that indeed the rate of IU was reduced with a significance of 0.007 connecting the first and final evaluation.
