    The purpose of this research work is to determine how the weak knowledge of the business culture affects the continuity of the family business in the footwear sector of the city of Ambato, using the methodology of the quantitative approach and a field research modality and bibliographic documentary, applying a survey of ten questions that were structured according to the needs of the companies, being answered by the managers of each of the companies, giving information on the real situation of each one of them, these data were analyzed, graphed, tabulated, and interpreted, the most important thing to verify that the research instrument is validated was the Crombach Alpha check method and expert analysis on the subject of both footwear and organization. Through this research we want family businesses to apply organizational change models, which refers to changes in their culture, organization and processes, taking into account that it is an important point for companies to pass from generation to generation.

    The main objective of this research is to determine how business leadership influences the continuity of the family business in the tannery sector of the city of Ambato, in which the methodology used is a quantitative approach and a modality of Field survey and bibliographical documentary, and a questionnaire of twelve questions was used that were structured to be answered by a sample of 20 family business owners, data that were plotted, tabulated, analyzed and interpreted with care in such a way that Identified how it has caused a great impact of business leadership for family companies to have continuity, the most important to verify that the instrument is validated was used the Crombach Alpha test method. After carrying out all the research, it became known that entrepreneurs empirically manage their companies, but do not use a model or strategies that help to professionalize it, at the same time they would like to achieve the objectives set by the company, regardless of whether they have to give prizes rewarding employees to satisfy their entire market.
