Maestría en Administración de Empresas Familiares, 2018) Muyulema Molina, Ligia Elena; Mejía Vayas, Carlos VinicioThe purpose of this research work is to determine how the weak knowledge of the business culture affects the continuity of the family business in the footwear sector of the city of Ambato, using the methodology of the quantitative approach and a field research modality and bibliographic documentary, applying a survey of ten questions that were structured according to the needs of the companies, being answered by the managers of each of the companies, giving information on the real situation of each one of them, these data were analyzed, graphed, tabulated, and interpreted, the most important thing to verify that the research instrument is validated was the Crombach Alpha check method and expert analysis on the subject of both footwear and organization. Through this research we want family businesses to apply organizational change models, which refers to changes in their culture, organization and processes, taking into account that it is an important point for companies to pass from generation to generation.
