    At present, the rapid growth of the cooperative sector has marked an important milestone in the Ecuadorian financial system and a constant challenge to propose new products and services as a way to attract more partners and potential customers. This research aimed to analyze the management of deposits and their impact on credit operations of the Cooperative of Small Business Tungurahua. For the study a survey was applied and a questionnaire as an instrument whose population consisted of administrative staff and the board of directors and supervision, reaching the following conclusions: Management of CACPET deposits will largely directed to deposits which causes the deposit products are limited; credit operations have had a poor level of action; assets have not had an acceptable margin of growth for these operations are in the hands of a few members of the company and there is noncompliance with the manual handling of credit transactions which has caused delays and lack of guarantees. Under these circumstances and in order to solve these problems, a negotiation model that allows for proper administration of policies and procedures at the institution, aimed at improving the level of deposits, to diversify products and services, set train officers in transforming business managers who provide personalized attention in the management of liabilities and mainly as a result increase the number of credits to the partners.
