The present investigation called production strategies and their influence on sales, case of the Bakery Sector, city of Ambato, was developed with the objective of analyzing the production strategies and the influence on sales of the artisanal bakery sector of the city in view of the notable reduction of sales in the sector. An investigation with a quantitative approach of descriptive and correlational scope was used, the population refers to the bakery companies of the sector, with a simple random statistical sampling, a sample of 92 participants was determined, to whom a structured survey was applied through a closed questionnaire. with 14 multiple choice questions on a Likert scale with 5 levels. After the analysis and interpretation of data, it is concluded that the establishments or businesses that are dedicated to the manufacture of basic products are focused on the bakery sector, unfortunately the lack of training in administration and management areas in bakery processes makes the owners of businesses are unaware of production costs and therefore their net profit, additionally the disorganization of resources and poor internal distribution in the production plant causes delays in the delivery of orders preventing customer loyalty or generating overproduction which affects the level of sales. The production xiv strategies variable presents a directly proportional relationship with the sales variable and since the p-value or level of significance is greater than 0.05, the alternative hypothesis is accepted: production strategies influence the sales of the companies. artisan bakeries in the city of Ambato and the null hypothesis is rejected, the correlation reflects a coefficient of .445** for which the relationship between variables is moderate and positive, which implies that if the production strategies improve, so will the sales.
