Aptitudes vocacionales y el estrés académico
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Psicopedagogía, 2025-01-20) Veloz Alvarez Dayana Beatriz; Velastegui Hernández Rommel Santiago; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Psicopedagogía
This research work was carried out in the Mario Cobo Barona Educational Unit, located in the province of Tungurahua, canton Ambato, with the objective of analyzing and evaluating the relationship between Vocational Aptitudes and Academic Stress in students in the third year of secondary school at the institution. This study is significant because it allows us to understand the factors that influence the appropriate choice of career and its relationship with the management of academic stress. Although few studies have explored these variables, existing research points to a high dropout rate in higher education. The research was scientifically supported through theoretical postulates from current and highly regarded academic journals. Data collection was conducted face-to-face with 100 students from the school, using two validated instruments: The Chaside Test to assess vocational interests and aptitudes, and the SISCO SV-21 Inventory to measure levels of academic stress. The results were tabulated in Excel and processed in Excel. Through Chi-Square analysis, the research sought to establish the correlation between vocational aptitudes and academic stress levels. Based on the results, a comprehensive Institutional Guidance Plan was proposed to support students in making informed career decisions aligned with their individual interests and aptitudes, while providing strategies to mitigate academic stress.
