La influencia del material visual en el aprendizaje del vocabulario en inglés de los estudiantes de los quintos y sextos años de educación básica de la Escuela Fiscal Mixta “Jaime Andrade Fabara” de la ciudad de Latacunga, provincia de Cotopaxi.

El presente trabajo de investigación está orientada en la influencia del uso de material visual con el propósito de fortalecer el aprendizaje del vocabulario en Inglés de los quintos y sextos años de educación básica de la Escuela Fiscal Mixta “Jaime Andrade Fabara”, se planteó con objetivo analizarla influencia del material visual en el aprendizaje de vocabulario en Inglés en los estudiantes, el cual ayudará a tener clases más activas donde profesores y estudiantes participen de un aprendizaje efectivo del Inglés, y así la profesora pueda enseñar de forma eficiente y por ende los estudiantes pueden adquirir conocimientos duraderos. Por lo que se hizo un análisis del problema en donde se determinó la población de 148 elementos de estudio, tomando en cuenta una muestra de 108 estudiantes, a través de una encuesta a los estudiantes, y una entrevista a la profesora de Inglés. Mediante el análisis e interpretación de resultados obtenidos se llegó a conocer que el establecimiento no utiliza material visual extra en el área de Inglés, se utiliza el libro y el cuaderno como material visual fijo, en ocasiones se utiliza carteles, también dependiendo del tema de la clase se utiliza objetos reales que se puede encontrar en la escuela pero la mayoría parte del tiempo se basa solo en ellos, por lo que mi afán es elaborar material visual a diferente unidades y de esta manera incentivar al docente a elaborar su propio material visual para la clase y trabajar conjuntamente con los niños; para que tenga un apoyo para aprender vocabulario a través de dibujos en donde ellos puedan relacionarlos y sea más fácil para ellos recordar las palabras, y puedan utilizar junto con las gramáticas presentadas en clase y a que los niños se sientas motivados por aprender Inglés, ya que es original y tendrá acogida por parte de los estudiantes y el docente.
Use of voice recording to enhance fluency in speaking in efl classroom

Education has taken an unexpected turn due to the increase in technological tools, leading teachers to investigate new ways to impart knowledge and at the same time use new strategies to help our students improve their fluency in English. The primary objective of this research was to determine the level of improvement in fluency when speaking in the English as a foreign language classroom through voice recording. The methodology proposed to carry out the present experimentation with 34 students, using quantitative and qualitative research. A pre-test and post-test single-group design were adopted for this study. The students’ problems in fluency in speaking were evaluated using the SPSS statistical program, applying the Statistical Student’s T-test of related tests. Some technological tools were applied for two weeks in classes. At the end of the experimentation, a post-test was carried out, and the results of the study revealed that the students, through voice recordings using technological tools, presented significant improvement in fluency in speaking. The data verified that the students had an average band 1 at the time of the pre-test; however, they improved to band 4 at the time of the post-test. The main findings point out that the use of voice recordings with a technological tool certainly improves fluency in speaking, especially in the way of expressing themselves in English, giving them greater freedom, fluency, and confidence when speaking.
