The current road project arises from the need to establish a connection between the areas of Llangahua, Silipo, and Pinllopata, aiming to create new trade routes that boost educational levels, foster socio-economic activity, and expand markets for local products and raw materials. These actions also aim to reduce poverty, minimize travel times, and lower transportation costs. The technical project began with a topographical survey using a drone, considering the terrain characteristics. Subsequently, a traffic study was conducted, revealing a TPDA of 94 veh/day for a 20-year projection, classifying the road as a Class IV Collector. Horizontal, vertical, and transversal geometric design followed the guidelines of the MTOP 2003 regulations. Soil samples were extracted and laboratory-tested to determine their physical and mechanical properties, identifying a low to non-plastic sandy loam soil with high moisture content and a design CBR of 7.05 percent. These results guided the pavement design in accordance with the AASHTO 1993 standards, obtaining suitable thicknesses considering traffic and soil properties. Finally, the project was quantified, and a reference budget was obtained, subject to changes due to variations in unit prices over time. Nevertheless, it provides an understanding of the necessary resources and facilitates proper planning for project execution.
