    In this research, traditional games are conceived as playful social-cultural expressions typical of a locality that serve to replicate and maintain customs and traditions. Activities that, in addition to strengthening identity and the spirit of belonging, help develop social skills that contribute significantly to the teaching-learning process. The objective of this academic work is: to determine the significant contribution of traditional games in the training and education of children between the ages of 7 and 8, by strengthening the ties of belonging to the locality and identity as members. community assets. For this purpose, a qualitative approach was used, framed within a hermeneutic paradigm, which validates the application of an action research model and some instruments of social cartography. The first part addresses the characterization of traditional games. Later, through the tools and instruments of scientific research, local knowledge and knowledge could be collected, thereby expanding the knowledge and perceptions of students towards traditional games, turning them into a resource that energizes the teaching-learning process, allowing them to conceive of them as part of their identity and their roots. With which it was possible to demonstrate that in the training and education of current and future generations it is very important to know, but above all to practice, recreational activities with great cultural roots, typical of social exchange.
