(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Psicopedagogía, 2025-06-30) Mena Mayorga William Adrián; Gómez Alvarado Héctor Fernando; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Psicopedagogía
The present research project about “Study habits and academic stress in third and fourth semester students of the Psychopedagogy Career of the Technical University of Ambato” had the objective of establishing the incidence of study habits on academic stress in a population of 65 students. Regarding the methodology, a mixed approach was applied, which allowed determining characteristics and dimensions related to the variables and numerical verification of the data obtained, in addition, it had an exploratory, descriptive and correlational scope, with bibliographic and documentary modality and cross-sectional. The evaluation instruments used were the Study Habits and Techniques Questionnaire (CHTE) for the independent variable and the Systemic Cognitive Inventory (SISCO SV-21) for the dependent variable. Likewise, for the verification of the study, the SPSS statistical program was applied by means of Pearson's test, and a perfect negative correlation of -1 was found, that as students have better study habits, the level of stress tends to decrease, and vice versa.
