Item El síndrome de burnout y su relación con el clima social familiar en docentes universitarios(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2023-04-19) López Lesano, Alisson Iveth; Gaibor González, Ismael ÁlvaroThe term Burnout refers to an inadequate response to work stress and is characterized by negative attitudes towards work and those who make up that environment, thus becoming a risk factor especially for those professionals dedicated to public service as is the case of teachers, doctors, etc. Likewise, the family social climate alludes to the relationships and dynamics that are handled in the family environment, which, being the primary support network and the main context in which the individual develops, will influence his or her social relationships, communication and even the way of interacting in different environments, one of them being the work area. Thus, a correlational research with a quantitative approach of non-experimental cross-sectional design was conducted in an institution of higher education in the city of Ambato, with a sample of 92 teachers, 69.57% were women and 30.43% men, with an average age of 41 years. The instruments used were the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and the Family Social Climate Scale (FES). The results show that there was a slight inverse relationship between family social climate and depersonalization and a slight positive relationship between family social climate and personal accomplishment, while there was no relationship between family social climate and emotional exhaustion.
