    REVISIÓN BIBLIOGRÁFICA SOBRE: COMPARACIÓN DE LOS BENEFICIOS DE LOS PROBIÓTICOS Y POSTBIÓTICOS

    Introduction: In the last ten years the importance of microbiota in human health has been observed in both long and short term and commercially has increased considerably in food products and drugs claiming to stimulate and benefit human health (Salminen et al., 2021). Objective: this paper describe the comparison of the benefits of probiotics and postbiotics for a better choice. Methodology: The development of the article was based on a systematic review with a 5-year date limit. Inclusion criteria were based on clinical relevance, methodological quality and timeliness of data. Results: Research advances are based on the understanding of molecular biology, furthermore recent studies indicate that probiotics being non-living microorganisms have less adverse effects versus probiotics. Conclusions: We can conclude that as post-biotics are non-living microorganisms they have less adverse effects than probiotics in addition to being more costly to transport and store, although they are still under study.
