Item Análisis del comportamiento térmico de la máquina de temperado para optimizar el procesamiento de chocolate(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica. Maestría en Mecánica Mención Diseño, 2020-09) Rodríguez Sánchez, Nancy Piedad; Carrillo Rosero, Carlos MauricioThe project arises from the need of the Noblezza factory to perform the optimization of the tempering process due to the unproductive times it generates. The objective of the thesis has been to analyze the behavior of the tempering machine to optimize the work process. The analysis methodology have been defined for the contour conditions and start of work of the machine, with which the operation is analyzed using simulations of Computational Fluid Dynamics with color scales that allow an interpretation of the temperature distribution in all the components of the machine, obtaining a detailed model. The hypothesis verification is carried out in a framework of experimentations around the machine data and careful analysis through simulations that identify the appropriate temperature curve for the improvement in production. When performing dynamic analysis to verify the cutting blade relative to the guadua cane (bamboo), we proceeded to determine the mechanical properties of the guadua cane (bamboo), in order to obtain the main characteristics of such material and to get trustworthy data to be admitted to the software, moreover, data from the cutting blade material were selected from catalog, being a relevant information in the present research. Static simulations were conductec with both materials of the selected cut blade taking into account the angle of the cutting edge, concave and convex geometries in order to get the most feasible model, then a dynamic analysis determined the best desing with this parameters.Item Auditoria energética en las instalaciones de la empresa mecánica Sánchez Hnos.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. The project was carried out, with the lifting of information on machinery, lighting, electrical distribution and the energy situation represented by the installed loads, in addition the condition of the machinery was evaluated; the analysis of the quality of energy made evidenced the problems of the mechanics being the greatest concern the power factor of 0.4 registered, for which corrective measures are proposed for optimal performance. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2022-06) Velasteguí Lara, Adrián Joel; Carrillo Rosero, Carlos MauricioThis technical project was developed due to the need to incorporate a system to control the process of washing naranjilla in the ASTIMEC machine, model ASA-LFC300, which is owned by the Provincial Government of Pastaza, since it was abandoned because the operators could not handle the machine correctly. This system will make it possible to control the water pressure and the speed at which the frit will be transported for washing. The closed-loop system installed in this technical project consists of a central control panel that, by means of electrical and electronic devices programmed with a ladder-type language and executed by a PLC, made it possible to automate manual and semi-automatic processes for fruit washing. The machine has an electric motor that rotates the cleaning rollers; this programmed system continuously and controlled the correct advancement of the fruit, allowing the revolutions to be varied according to the operator's requirements, which increased the efficiency in time and quality of fruit washing. For this reason, a test bench was developed to calculate the static and dynamic friction coefficient of certain materials (glass, steel, metal, wood and plastic). The development of the test bench was oriented on an experimental research methodology since its design is fully automated based on sensors (LM393, KY-008) and a PLC FX2N-16MR/T; main elements that allowed the development of an open loop system that responds to the needs of the test bench (determination of acceleration and friction coefficients). The data collection was established by means of five repetitions, which allowed to establish the most adjusted value to the data collected in specific bibliography. Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2015-03) Maurizaca Garcés, Fausto Rolando; Carrillo Rosero, Carlos MauricioEl proyecto de Investigación “Comunicación OPC para optimizar el proceso de embotellado, envasado y etiquetado en el Laboratorio de Control de la Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica de la Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato", se realizó debido a la necesidad e importancia de implementar un sistema de comunicación OPC entre los módulos existentes en el Laboratorio de automatización y así optimizar tiempos y recursos en los procesos. Inicialmente se recopila la información básica acerca de los procesos de embotellado, envasado y etiquetado en el Laboratorio de automatización, de sus características y la teoría que nos ayude a entender el funcionamiento y comportamiento de dichas máquina como también los tipos de comunicación entre PLCs y las redes más eficientes. Para la selección del software y la red adecuada que permita mejorar controlar los procesos y optimizar recursos dentro del sistema de embotellado se realizó las ponderaciones respectivas en las que se consideraron las varias características, para nuestro software se consideró: fiabilidad, flexibilidad, compatibilidad y lenguaje de programación; para la red se realizó un análisis orientado a la eficiencia, funcionalidad, complejidad, economía, capacidad de red y proyección de red. Luego de haber considerado la mejor opción en cada análisis se procede a la programación y configuración del sistema de comunicación OPC server con Labview de National Instruments. En sus inicios se recopila información básica acerca del proceso de mezclado de bebidas, los tipos de estaciones de mezcla existentes y las bases teóricas que ayuda a la comprensión del funcionamiento, comportamiento y tipos de mezcla en un determinado tiempo. Para seleccionar del sistema de control y la máquina adecuada se realizó las ponderaciones tomando en cuenta las siguientes características: costo, espacio, manejo, tecnología, y control de la mezcla, la facilidad de manejo, montaje y medición. It was started based on the design, construction, implementation of the control system and operation tests, for which the main working parameters such as pressure, temperature and time of the transfer process in the sublimation of different types of textiles that the company uses frequently were investigated. Having the theoretical and analytical analysis it was possible to make the selection of the different materials to be used both for the structure and for its automatic control system, so changes were made in the base structure in order to fix the double effect cylinder which helps to raise and lower the iron and also the work table was modified to optimize the dead time in the ironing process, The program and its connections were designed according to the needs of the process being able to control by means of a PLC with the help of the HMI all the transfer process in the different types of fabrics with their respective parameters in the sublimation. This work occurred in a low one a DOE experience design a factor factorial means of 2k is 4 factors at 2 levels, under the operating conditions in the grinding as: tool speed (rpm), speed of advance mm / min, depth of cut and refrigerant generating a total of 32 experiments with their replicas. Maestría en Mecánica Mención Manufactura, 2021-06) Solís Santamaria, Tannia Magally; Carrillo Rosero, Carlos MauricioThis project deals with the manufacture of cladding by injection molding of PVC polymer as an alternative material for the construction industry, where the analysis and design of the cladding mold are carried out using CAD/CAM software programs. The use of CAD/CAM tools allows reducing both, production time and cost. As this process occurs through injection molding, custom products can be manufactured meeting the needs of various sectors. Through the determination to depend upon the technological process for the manufacture of cladding, tests are carried out to validate the mechanical properties of cladding through compression, impact, and flammability tests along with UV ray experiments, thickness, production, and commercial cost, which are parameters to determine the quality of the product. To simplify the manufacturing process, a technological report of this study was conducted through the description of adequate parameters for its correct production. The results were favorable as 896 cladding molds, with a thickness of 2 mm, a net weight of 25 grams, and a selling price of 3.73 U.S. dollars per square meter, were produced. Therefore, cladding commercial cost, as well as weight, are significantly lowered concerning what it would represent within the construction industry.Item Diseño de un convertidor que permita transformar la energía eléctrica obtenida mediante un sistema de generación híbrido compuesto por paneles solares fotovoltaicos y un generador eólico en energía térmica(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2020) Moreta López, Luis David; Carrillo Rosero, Carlos MauricioThe present technical project has as its central research objective the design and construction of an energy converter that allows to transform the electric voltage of the batteries that is generated by a system of unconventional resources consisting of a combination of photovoltaic solar panels and a wind generator, to obtain thermal energy used in the process of heating water for domestic use. The geographic and environmental conditions of the white river community as a cold climate prevails, generated the need to install a water preheating system consisting of flat plate thermal panels and vacuum tubes driven by the solar radiation intensity of the area and connected directly to the water supply for exploiting the potential of volumetric flow. The design of the converter components was made based on the technical characteristics of the electrical potential installed in the white river community to increase the efficiency of the water heating processes guaranteed a low energy consumption through drive depending on the hot water requirement. The purpose of the operation tests is to verify and sustain that the converter can operate continuously and without interruptions and reach high levels of efficiency during all times of the year considering the climatic conditions to which it is exposed in the community, the climate variation as a function of time is quantified with the data obtained in the area by previous investigations in order to make projections that allow to know the trend of behavior of parameters such as radiation. Finally, the performance tests were carried out by taking data in the area through the control and monitoring system that allowed the collection of values with respect to the increase in the magnitude of the water temperature, and the operation of the converter was guaranteed throughout the year by means of projections with reference to previous bibliographic data taken from the irradiance of the area, thus demonstrating the high efficiency of operation of the project under all conditions likely to arise in the area.Item Diseño de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo para la empresa INGB&R PLAST en la ciudad de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Which was carried out taking into account the lack of a structured and efficient preventive maintenance system, which has led to a higher incidence of breakdowns in the company's machinery and equipment, resulting in costly downtime and production losses. In this preventive maintenance plan, the company's machinery was codified, an inventory of existing machines was carried out, and a format for the creation of technical sheets was created, the machines were classified by system, subsystem and components. The criticality analysis was carried out to prioritize the components that required immediate intervention, in the same way the AMFE matrix was carried out based on the NTP 679, obtaining the components most prone to failure, with these results the maintenance logs and ranges were made to improve the operation of machinery. Based on these results, a risk review and registry format was designed. As a result, the preventive maintenance plan was designed for each type of machinery present in the company. This plan includes a detailed schedule of maintenance activities, such as periodic inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and replacement of worn parts. Since, one of the main problems is the lack of tools that cover Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) machining programs’ demand; which integrate advanced cutting strategies in their latest versions. This type of technology has evolved over time. In addition, market trends have required program developers to integrate functions that were not possible in the past. However, the best cutting strategies are not enough if resistant tools that have a durable design are not integrated. According to the presented study and through an experimental analysis, an adequate design of a rhomboidal counter-output tool is provided. Likewise, cutting parameters that guarantee a long life are established. The relevant factors in the experimental process are advanced speed and lateral pass depth. Since, machining advanced strategies appearance have been determined empirically. Consequently, material and time losses are generated during molds development. Trend continuous change of footwear models demands a flexible mold manufacturing process and implementation of adaptable machining tools. The proposal of this research includes a manual of sharpening procedure, according to proposed and validated design tool. Sharpening process is carried out by a tool development team at different clamping angles. It was based on the analysis of the status of each machinery, compiling the failures historical to perform the calculation of maintenance indicators like: reliability, average time between failures, failure rate and availability; then, it was made comparative graphics of curve of the bath defining the behavior of the heavy machinery in 2016. Subsequently, AMFE matrices were made with the objective of detail the components to pay more attention in maintenance. The information was unified with the codification of the equipment, technical data sheets, detailed reports for each process and annual maintenance log. Next, the database was designed in MySQL, by refining the tables containing the information, avoiding redundancies; in terms of programming, a framework of PHP was used that helped to create an intuitive and user-friendly interface. The aim of this study is to analyze the correct functioning of the turbine. This study is based on the analysis of the pressure inside the turbine, the velocity of the fluid at the exit of the injector and through the rotor blades, the volumetric fraction of the fluid to determine if it meets the operating conditions of the turbine indicating that it is cross flow and the turbulence that is inside the turbine to be able to determine if the proposal of this design is appropriate and is not wasting too much energy in sectors that are not of greater influence. The study has been exposed to several modifications until the proper configuration of the turbine and through the simulations in the ANSYS SOFTWARE with the FLUENT module it has been possible to conclude that the design that is exposed is suitable for the operation of the Turbo-Pump.Item Diseño por elementos finitos de una roto bomba accionada con una turbina Pelton para riego de cultivos en los sectores vulnerables(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2017-10) Valencia Chávez, Cristian Javier; Carrillo Rosero, Carlos MauricioThe present work of investigation is about the design of a Pelton turbine that works with conditions of net jump of 45 m and flow of 0.05 m3 / s, was realized with the module CFD to determine the conditions of operation like pressure, speed, turbulence. In the design of the turbine consists of the geometry of the spoons, the dimensions of the impeller, injector, injector needle and mechanical dimensioning of the turbine shaft. The CFD analysis was performed taking into account the considerations that the turbine works with biphasic flow, ie there is presence of water and air, was used rotating mesh to rotate the impeller, stationary mesh for injectors and part of the Case. A study was carried out on the convergence of the mesh and its influence on the results, as well as the different models of turbulence available. Because the existing machines on the market are not designed for large heights, various parameters such as draft angle, discharge time, carbon dioxide consumption, supply pressure to achieve the desired target were analyzed. The project was designed using a computerized design program to see the possible configurations and shapes of the test bench, the selection of each of the components was made, having selected the balances-dynamometers, cables, aluminum profiles, screws and pipeline. With the pipe, the main structure was manufactured according to the developed and approved plans, after assembly it is put into operation and the tests are carried out, taking a control in the data collection to later compare the practical values with the theoretical ones and obtain the error in percent. The project concludes with the manufacture of the test bench and practical data collection, comparison of the theoretical data with the practical data, the error less than 2 percent is defined in all cases, loads of 10, 20 and 30 have been applied. kg at the angles of 30 and 60 degrees, with which we have obtained 6 measurement cases.
