Abstract
El presente proyecto de investigación se ejecutó en la Unidad Educativa Rodríguez Albornoz, ubicada en la provincia de Tungurahua en la cuidad de Ambato, con el fin de identificar la influencia del funcionamiento familiar en el rendimiento académico de 130 estudiantes de la institución, pertenecientes a 9no y 10m año de Educación General Básica. En el capítulo I que se refiere al marco teórico, en su variable independiente, hace referencia a la definición de familia, dinámica familiar, características, tipos de familias y factores que influyen en la dinámica familiar. En cambio, en la variable Dependiente concerniente a este mismo capítulo, se pretende conocer el significado de la educación, rendimiento académico, aspectos del rendimiento académico y factores que indicen en el rendimiento académico. Consecutivamente en el Capítulo II, se estableció una metodología mixta, las cuales están divididas en: descriptiva, exploratoria, correlacional y de campo. Además, esta investigación se desarrolló en un enfoque cuantitativo, el cual aporta con la recolección de información, cabe recalcar que se identificó el instrumento de la variable de estudio, y las técnicas utilizadas son psicométricas que fue de mayor importancia porque facilitó la valorización de las dos variables de estudio. Luego, en el Capítulo III, se presenta el análisis y la interpretación de los datos obtenidos de las variables de estudio, los cuales serán datos Totales. Resaltando que el funcionamiento familiar es moderadamente funcional en un 62%, y en el rendimiento académico es el 68% de estudiantes alcanzan los aprendizajes requeridos. Finalmente, en el Capítulo IV, se dieron las conclusiones y recomendaciones enfocadas en los datos obtenidos del proyecto de investigación

The present research project was carried out at the Rodríguez Albornoz Educational Unit, located in the province of Tungurahua in the city of Ambato, in order to identify the influence of family functioning on the academic performance of 130 students of the institution, belonging to 9th grade. and 10m year of Basic General Education. In chapter I, which refers to the theoretical framework, in its independent variable, it refers to the definition of family, family dynamics, characteristics, types of families and factors that influence family dynamics. On the other hand, in the Dependent variable concerning this same chapter, the aim is to know the meaning of education, academic performance, aspects of academic performance and factors that influence academic performance. Consecutively in Chapter II, a mixed methodology was established, which is divided into: descriptive, exploratory, correlational and field. In addition, this research was developed in a quantitative approach, which contributes with the collection of information, it should be noted that the instrument of the study variable was identified, and the techniques used are psychometric, which was of greater importance because it facilitated the assessment of the two study variables. Then, in Chapter III, the analysis and interpretation of the data obtained from the study variables is presented, which will be Total data. Highlighting that family functioning is moderately functional at 62%, and in academic performance 68% of students achieve the required learning. Finally, in Chapter IV, the conclusions and recommendations focused on the data obtained from the research project were given
