Abstract
El proyecto investigativo se enfoca en el análisis del turismo cultural en la vestimenta
tradicional del pueblo Salasaka, donde se estudió los destinos turísticos idóneos para
crear un circuito turístico. Se analizó las técnicas artesanales para la elaboración de las
indumentarias que son utilizadas por los salasakas, considerándolo patrimonio cultural
inmaterial, razón suficiente para implementar un turismo cultural responsable.
La metodología utilizada fueron instrumentos cualitativos tales como la entrevista
etnográfica y las fichas técnicas, los cuales ayudaron a recolectar información en
trabajo de campo para la investigación. Los resultados obtenidos permitieron
identificar que los procesos artesanales de confección de vestuarios a mano que entran
en la categoría de patrimonio inmaterial, por ende, se puede implementar un circuito
enfocado al turismo cultural.
La indumentaria tradicional Salasaka implica la participación de los actores locales,
cuyos conocimientos, habilidades y experiencias en el manejo de las técnicas,
categorizándolo como patrimonio cultural. Las técnicas deben ser protegidas y
resguardadas por el Estado, junto con los actores locales para su difusión y trasmisión,
ya que corren riesgo de desaparecer. Finalmente, para Ecuador, la industria del turismo
es una de las actividades más favorables para la reactivación económica, más aún luego
de la recesión mundial post-pandemia del SARS CoV-2.
Description
The research project focuses on the analysis of cultural tourism in the traditional
wardrobe of the Salasaka people, where cultural tourism was studied in the Salasaka
parish looking for the ideal tourist destinations to create a tourist circuit. The artisan
techniques for the elaboration of the wardrobe that are used by the salasakas were
analyzed and it is considered intangible cultural heritage, reason enough to implement
responsible cultural tourism in the locality.
The methodology used were qualitative instruments such as the ethnographic
interview and the technical sheets, which helped to collect information in the field
work for the research. The results obtained allowed us to identify that the artisanal
processes of making costumes by hand can be consider into the category of intangible
heritage, therefore, a circuit focused on cultural tourism can be implemented.
Salasaka traditional wardrobe involves the participation of local actors, whose
knowledge,skills and experiencesin handling techniques can be categorized ascultural
heritage. The techniques must be protected and safeguarded by the State, together with
local actors for their dissemination and transmission, since they are at risk of
disappearing. Finally, for Ecuador, the tourism industry is one of the most favorable
activities for economic reactivation, even more so after the world recessionafter the
SARS CoV-2 pandemic.
