Abstract
La presente tesis tiene como objetivo emplear la fotografía como un medio de
difusión para la prevención de incendios forestales en el cantón San Pedro de Pelileo,
provincia de Tungurahua, Ecuador. Mediante una metodología mixta, que incluyó
encuestas y entrevistas a estudiantes, agricultores y habitantes de zonas rurales, se
investigaron las percepciones y conocimientos de la población sobre la problemática y su prevención. Los resultados reflejaron una insuficiente difusión de información
preventiva, así como un alto interés por parte de la comunidad en involucrarse en
estrategias de concienciación. El benchmarking realizado evidenció la necesidad de
fortalecer los recursos del Cuerpo de Bomberos local. La propuesta incluye un plan de medios que busca sensibilizar a los habitantes a través de imágenes impactantes,
resaltando la importancia de la prevención y la protección del entorno natural. Este
proyecto aspira a fomentar la prevención y cuidado ambiental en la región.
Description
This project aims to use photography as a means of disseminating information to
prevent forest fires in the canton of San Pedro de Pelileo, Tungurahua province,
Ecuador. Through a mixed methodology that included surveys and interviews with
students, farmers, and rural residents, the study explored the community's perceptions and knowledge about the issue and its prevention. The findings revealed insufficient dissemination of preventive information, alongside a strong community interest in participating in awareness strategies. The benchmarking analysis highlighted the need to strengthen the resources of the local Fire Department. The proposal includes a media plan designed to raise awareness among residents through impactful images that emphasize the importance of prevention and the protection of the natural environment.
