Significación y percepción cultural en el público sobre las coreografías del Grupo Folklórico Tungurahua

Abstract

This paper presents research focused on the significance and cultural perception of the choreographies of the Grupo Folklórico Tungurahua, the main idea of the study is to understand the meanings and perceptions that these choreographies generate in the audience. The research approach is ethnographic, using interviews, observation of live performances and analysis of previous recordings as methods of data collection. The analysis will focus on identifying the cultural elements reflected in the choreographies, as well as understanding how they are perceived and interpreted by the Andean community. It seeks to highlight the importance of preserving these cultural traditions through folk art and it is hoped that the results of the research will contribute to this understanding. The focus of the study is to identify the significance of the choreographies of the Grupo Folklórico Tungurahua, to establish the public's perceptions of these choreographies and to relate the meanings with the cultural perception identified in them. The methodology used is qualitative, and methods such as participant observation, in-depth interviews and content analysis will be used. These methods will allow us to capture the subjectivity and diversity of human experiences related to choreographies and to obtain a deeper understanding of the phenomenon studied. It is hoped that the findings of this research will be relevant both for the Grupo Folklórico Tungurahua and for other folkloric groups interested in the preservation of traditional culture in Ecuador and elsewhere in the world
