Abstract
his research analyzes the influence of workload on the intrafamily relationships of the security
personnel at the company IS&MAS SEGURIDAD, located in Salcedo, Cotopaxi province. It
is based on the recognition that prolonged work demands—both physical, mental, and
emotional—generate imbalances that affect the family environment, especially in terms of
communication, emotional support, and shared time. The study adopts a quantitative, nonexperimental design. A population of 230 workers was involved, and data were collected
through the application of two instruments related to both variables. The results revealed that
over 60% of the surveyed workers reported difficulties in maintaining stable family
relationships due to limited time and physical exhaustion caused by their jobs. Moreover, it
was found that an excessive workload significantly reduces the quality of family relationships,
intensifying stress, fatigue, and emotional distancing. In addition, on the influence of workload
and family relations, it was shown that there is a correlation according to the Spearman test,
concluding that there is no balance on the part of security personnel affecting the family
relations of the employees evaluated to a low to moderate degree between work and family
life; however, the importance of both axes as a fundamental part for the workers is taken into
account. The study suggests that increasing the workload generates negative effects on intrafamily relations. The research highlights the need to promote strategies to strengthen intrafamily relations and improve more favorable working conditions.
Keywords: workload, security personnel, intrafamily relationships, quality of relationships,

Description
instrumentos relacionados a ambas variables.
