Abstract
Este trabajo de investigación titulado “Atención selectiva y hábitos de estudio de los estudiantes de primer de la Carrera de Psicopedagogía de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato”, el mismo que tiene como objetivo determinar la relación de la atención selectiva y los hábitos de estudios en los estudiantes de primer semestre de la Carrera de Psicopedagogía de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato; a partir de esto, se estableció tres niveles de investigación que son descriptivo, exploratorio y correlacional; así también, como base científica en esta investigación se hizo uso de artículos científicos, libros, revistas indexadas, antecedentes investigativos en otras fuentes validadas y verificadas relacionadas con las dos variables de estudio. Los instrumentos que fueron utilizados en este estudio fueron el Test de Atención d2 y el Inventario de Hábitos de estudio de Gilbert Wrenn, los mismos que fueron aplicados a 186 estudiantes de la Carrera de Psicopedagogía de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato, finalmente realizar la verificación de la hipótesis se utilizò el estadígrafo de Tau – b de Kendall lo que ayudó para el desarrollo de las conclusiones y recomendaciones.

This research work entitled "Selective attention and study habits of first-year students of the Psychopedagogy Career of the Universidad Técnica de Ambato", which aims to determine the relationship between selective attention and study habits in the first semester students of the Psychopedagogy Course at the Universidad Técnica de Ambato; From this, three levels of research were established: descriptive, exploratory and correlational; Likewise, as a scientific basis in this research, scientific articles, books, indexed magazines, research background in other validated and verified sources related to the two study variables were used. The instruments that were used in this study were the d2 Attention Test and the Gilbert Wrenn Study Habits Inventory, which were applied to 186 students of the Psychopedagogy Career of the Univers idad Técnica de Ambato, finally performing the verification of I used the Chi square hypothesis to develop the conclusions and recommendations.
