The parish of Huachi Grande, located in the canton of Ambato, presents a deficit of adequate public spaces for sports and recreational activities, which limits the population's access to safe and functional physical practices. This issue prompted the development of an architectural project aimed at designing a contextualized sports complex, capable of addressing the spatial needs of the community and integrating coherently with the existing environment. The research adopted a mixed methodological approach, combining qualitative and quantitative tools such as cartographic analysis, technical observation forms, population surveys, and interviews with key stakeholders. These instruments made it possible to diagnose the conditions of twenty-three sports facilities, revealing structural deterioration, lack of complementary services, and limited social appropriation. As a result, the most commonly practiced disciplines—such as soccer, volleyball, and basketball—were identified, and the need for accessible, well-equipped, and sustainable infrastructure was recognized. The resulting architectural proposal consists of two staggered platforms that integrate sports, administrative, recreational, and service areas. The design incorporates principles of universal accessibility, environmental sustainability, and territorial connectivity, applying bioclimatic strategies such as cross ventilation, rainwater harvesting, and structured pedestrian circulation. It is proposed that the project could contribute to the improvement of the built environment, promote healthy living habits, and serve as a reference for future interventions in rural contexts with similar characteristics.
