| dc.description | Currently ICTs have been recognized as fundamental tools for the development of an organization. Its use allows the creation of market strategies that help to generate competitive advantage. In this sense, the present research work aims to determine the incidence of ICTs in supporting the accounting profession in the hotel sector of the city of Ambato. For the study, a sample of 35 hotel companies was considered, from which the necessary information on their variables was obtained, in order to make a correlation between them, by means of Kendall's Tau b statistical test, which was carried out with a 5 percent margin of error. This method allowed us to verify the proposed hypothesis; that is, ICTs do have a significant influence on the development of the accounting profession. The results obtained are that there is a great diffusion on the knowledge and use of ICTs and private accounting software, in which the use of the Fenix software stands out for its ease in managing large databases. And finally, the contribution that accountants provide is undeniable, because their knowledge and experience are considered irreplaceable characteristics. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | En la actualidad las TICS, han sido reconocidas como herramientas fundamentales para el desarrollo de una organización. Su utilización permite la creación de estrategias de mercado que ayuden a la generación de ventaja competitiva. En este sentido, el presente trabajo de investigación tiene por objetivo determinar la incidencia de las TICS en el soporte a la profesión contable en el sector hotelero de la ciudad de Ambato. Para el estudio se consideró una muestra de 35 empresas hoteleras de las cuales se obtuvo la información necesaria sobre sus variables, con el fin de realizar una correlación entre estas, por medio de la prueba estadística Tau b de Kendall la cual fue efectuada con un 5 por ciento de margen de error. Este método permitió comprobar la hipótesis planteada; es decir, que las TICS si influyen significativamente en el desarrollo de la profesión contable. Los resultados obtenidos son que existe una gran difusión sobre el conocimiento y uso de TICS y softwares privados contables, en el que destaca el uso del software Fénix por la facilidad en el manejo de grandes bases de datos. Y finalmente, el aporte que los contadores brindan es innegable, debido a que su conocimiento y experiencia se consideran como características irremplazables. | es_ES |
