dc.descriptionLa dependencia emocional es un patrón crónico de exigencias afectivas frustradas sobre una persona que intenta o desea satisfacer estas necesidades a través de las relaciones interpersonales. Por otro lado, el consumo de sustancias se refiere al uso o abuso de drogas que pueden alterar las funciones físicas y mentales del cuerpo. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre la dependencia emocional y el consumo de sustancias en estudiantes. El estudio fue de enfoque cuantitativo, con un alcance descriptivo-correlacional y corte transversal. Se recopilaron datos de 101 estudiantes universitarios, con edades comprendidas entre 18 a 29 años. Para lograrlo, se emplearon instrumentos estandarizados como el Inventario de Dependencia Emocional (IDE) y el DAST-10 (Drug Abuse Screening Test) para el consumo de sustancias. Los resultados de la investigación revelaron que no hay correlación entre la dependencia emocional y el consumo de sustancias. En cuanto a la dependencia emocional indica que la media es de 105 puntos, con una desviación estándar de 40.9. Con respecto a los niveles de consumo el 75,2% tiene un bajo nivel. Además, se identifican diferencias estadísticamente significativas en la dependencia emocional en hombres.
dc.description.abstractEmotional dependence is a chronic pattern of frustrated emotional demands placed on a person who tries or wishes to meet these needs through interpersonal relationships. On the other hand, substance use refers to the consumption or abuse of drugs that can alter the physical and mental functions of the body. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between emotional dependence and substance use in students. The study had a quantitative approach, with a descriptive-correlational scope and a crosssectional design. Data were collected from 101 university students, aged between 18 and 29 years. To achieve this, standardized instruments such as the Emotional Dependency Inventory (IDE) and the DAST-10 (Drug Abuse Screening Test) were used to assess substance use. The research results revealed that there is no correlation between emotional dependence and substance use. Regarding emotional dependence, it indicates that the mean is 105 points, with a standard deviation of 40.9. Regarding the levels of consumption, 75.2% have a low level. Furthermore, statistically significant differences in emotional dependence were identified in men.
