Abstract: | El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo determinar si hay una relación entre el tamaño y la internacionalización de las empresas del sector manufacturero ecuatoriano en el periodo 2018-2021, se realizó un análisis estadístico y un chi cuadrado para finalmente realizar un modelo Logit que determinó la probabilidad de que una empresa se internacionalice, teniendo como resultado que el patrimonio y el tamaño de las empresas si inciden en la internacionalización del sector; la mayoría de las empresas analizadas no realizan exportaciones y las que sí lo hacen se concentran en la región Sierra, además la mayoría de estas pertenecen a la categoría de empresas medianas medidas por número de trabajadores. Finalmente, el estudio determinó que si el tamaño de la empresa aumenta de forma categórica, esta tendrá más probabilidad de internacionalizarse. |
Description: | This paper aimed to determine whether there is a relationship between the size and the internationalization of companies in the Ecuadorian manufacturing sector in the period 2018-2021, a statistical analysis and a chi-square were performed to finally perform a Logit model that determined the probability that a company internationalizes, having as a result that the equity and the size of the companies do affect the internationalization of the sector; most of the companies analyzed do not export and those that do are concentrated in the highlands region, and most of them belong to the category of medium-sized companies measured by number of workers. Finally, the study determined that if the size of the company increases categorically, it will be more likely to internationalize. |
