El derecho a la seguridad social de los trabajadores del sector textil, PelileoEcuador

Abstract

The purpose of this research work is to know how workers in the textile sector in the Pelileo Canton of the Tungurahua Province enjoy the benefits offered by the public social security system and how it has influenced the lives of the inhabitants of the sector. This considering that currently the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security has several shortcomings which put its existence at risk, as well as the confidence that affiliates and retirees have in this institution. The methodology used for this work is qualitative and quantitative in that subjective aspects of the variables are analyzed, as well as objective elements expressed in figures. The modality applied consisted of bibliographic data collection as the first part and later field work was carried out for the data collection, for its part the level of research is descriptive since only the description of the themes will be carried out. Regarding the techniques used, they were the survey of people related to the textile commercial activity, surveys with the purpose of knowing the appreciation of the workers and finally the data analysis. The conclusions allow us to know that although social security in Ecuador is mandatory for all workers, the truth is that there is great disagreement on the part of affiliates and retirees in terms of services and coverage, which allows them to consider the possibility of replace the public system with a private one as well as set aside the obligation of the contribution
