| Abstract: | La presente investigación, desarrollada bajo el título “La Medicina tradicional y el turismo de bienestar en el cantón Quero” tuvo como principal objetivo el estudio la medicina tradicional y su correlación con el turismo de bienestar en Santiago de Quero. Mediante una metodología de carácter cualitativo, se aplicó una entrevista semiestructurada a cuatro médicos tradicionales acerca del contexto turístico, económico y sociocultural en el que desarrollan sus actividades. Los hallazgos generados en esta disertación sustentaron la propuesta del diseño de una página web destinada a la información turística de bienestar y extrapolación de los saberes ancestrales que rodean la medicina tradicional en el cantón Quero. El turismo de bienestar que se centra en la medicina tradicional puede tener un impacto positivo en la economía local del cantón Quero, ya que puede generar empleo y promover el desarrollo sostenible. Además, puede contribuir a la conservación y el fomento de las prácticas de medicina tradicional y a la preservación de la cultura y la tradición de la región. Para promover el turismo de bienestar en el cantón Quero, es importante desarrollar estrategias de marketing y promoción que atraigan a los turistas interesados en la medicina tradicional y que les proporcionen información sobre los servicios disponibles. También es necesario asegurar la calidad y la seguridad de los servicios ofrecidos y establecer alianzas con otros actores turísticos y de bienestar en la región. |
| Description: | This investigation, developed under the title "Traditional medicine and wellness tourism in the Quero canton" had as its main objective the study of traditional medicine and its correlation with wellness tourism in Santiago de Quero. Using a qualitative methodology, a semi-structured interview was applied to four traditional doctors about the tourist, economic and sociocultural context in which they carry out their activities. The findings generated in this dissertation supported the proposal of the design of a web page destined to the tourist information of well-being and extrapolation of the ancestral knowledge that surrounds the traditional medicine in the Quero canton. Wellness tourism that focuses on traditional medicine can have a positive impact on the local economy of the Quero canton, as it can generate employment and promote sustainable development. In addition, it can contribute to the conservation and promotion of traditional medicine practices and the preservation of the culture and tradition of the region. To promote wellness tourism in the Quero canton, it is important to develop marketing and promotion strategies that attract tourists interested in traditional medicine and provide them with information about the services available. It is also necessary to ensure the quality and safety of the services offered and establish alliances with other tourism and wellness actors in the region. |
