| Resumen : | El tema del material didáctico Montessori y el aprendizaje significativo es importante porque aporta de manera significativa con información, específica y actualizada, es de actualidad porque se ajusta al desarrollo de habilidades y competencias matemáticas, que el estudiante alcanza a lo largo de su ciclo académico. La metodología utilizada es de enfoque cuantitativo, de nivel exploratorio-descriptivo, con las modalidades de campo y bibliográfica; se aplicó la técnica de la encuesta cuyo instrumento fue un cuestionario estructurado tipo escala de Likert, dirigida a 52 estudiantes del cuarto grado de la Unidad Educativa “Nicolás Martínez” de la ciudad de Ambato. La línea de investigación que sigue este proyecto es la de comunicación, sociedad, cultura y tecnología. La novedad científica está en que estos recursos captan la curiosidad del niño y con la manipulación conducen intuitivamente al desarrollo de conceptos abstractos. Los resultados obtenidos se sometieron a su respectivo análisis e interpretación, que refleja la realidad de la institución con respecto al tema de estudio. Las conclusiones son: el material didáctico Montessori ayuda al desarrollo mental del niño y a su autoconstrucción; mediante la experiencia sensorial concreta y el aprendizaje significativo relaciona la información nueva con la que ya se posee y lo guarda en la memoria a largo plazo; el material didáctico Montessori se usa ocasionalmente en la enseñanza de la Matemática y el aprendizaje significativo en los estudiantes está en proceso, debido a que aún existen falencias en la manera de enseñar del docente. |
| Descripción : | The topic of Montessori teaching material and meaningful learning is important because it provides significant information, specific and updated, it is topical because it adjusts to the development of mathematical skills and competencies that the student achieves throughout their academic cycle. The methodology used is a quantitative approach, at an exploratory-descriptive level, with field and bibliographic modalities; The survey technique was applied, whose instrument was a structured questionnaire type Likert scale, addressed to 52 fourth grade students of the "Nicolás Martínez" Educational Unit of the city of Ambato. The line of research that this project follows is that of communication, society, culture and technology. The scientific novelty is that these resources capture the child's curiosity and with manipulation they intuitively lead to the development of abstract concepts. The results obtained were submitted to their respective analysis and interpretation, which reflects the reality of the institution with respect to the subject of study. The conclusions are: the Montessori teaching material helps the child's mental development and self-construction; Through concrete sensory experience and meaningful learning, it relates new information to what is already in possession and stores it in longterm memory; Montessori didactic material is occasionally used in the teaching of Mathematics and significant learning in students is in process, due to the fact that there are still shortcomings in the way the teacher teaches. |
