Resumen : El Paseo del Chagra se enfoca principalmente en la conmemoración a los chagras y la identidad cultural debido a que la ciudad de Machachi es reconocida por esta festividad y el estudio pretende identificar el origen de esta celebración, así como el significado de cada uno de sus elementos para comprender la identidad cultural del lugar a estudiarse. Se ha identificado la problemática de la limitada información del nacimiento y simbolismo que lleva la festividad en el cantón y como resultado se revela una falta de indagación y escaso aprovechamiento de los conocimientos de la celebración que se imparte a los turistas que llegan a ser partícipe, que se lleva a cabo en la ciudad de Machachi, por lo cual actual trabajo investigativo tiene como objetivo conocer la importancia de la fiesta tradicional, resaltando la historia tras la generación de la festividad. La metodología utilizada en la investigación es cualitativa, bibliográfica y de campo, en la que se ha utilizado fichas del INPC y entrevistas para la recolección de datos que se basa en el proceso de observación con el fin de recopilar la información. En conclusión, se destaca la cultura chacarera y las características que los identifican como Chagras, recalcando sus valores y tradiciones que los representa, asimismo la festividad es el símbolo de homenaje a los personajes y los acontecimientos que dieron lugar a la realización de la fiesta.
Descripción : The Paseo del Chagra focuses mainly on the commemoration of the chagras and cultural identity because the city of Machachi is recognized for this festivity and the study aims to identify the origin of this celebration, as well as the meaning of each of its elements. to understand the cultural identity of the place to be studied. The problem of the limited information of the birth and symbolism that the festivity carries in the canton has been identified and as a result a lack of investigation and little use of the knowledge of the celebration that is imparted to the tourists who become a participant is revealed. which takes place in the city of Machachi, for which the current investigative work aims to know the importance of the traditional festival, highlighting the history behind the generation of the festival. The methodology used in the research is qualitative, bibliographic and field, in which INPC files and interviews have been used for data collection that is based on the observation process in order to collect information. In conclusion, the chacarera culture and the characteristics that identify them as Chagras are highlighted, emphasizing their values and traditions that represent them, as well as the festival is the symbol of homage to the characters and the events that led to the celebration of the festival.
