Resumen : Nowadays, social networks have become a new media of mass distribution on the web, through them people can create, publish, interact and transmit information, causing traditional media such as print media, television and radio to migrate to these platforms and create virtual spaces, this has changed its traditional structure by an interactive, changing and dynamic process. This research aims to determine the credibility of users of the social network Facebook of the newspaper "El Comercio" against the informative content of memes disseminated by this medium, it is important to identify the type of content published by the newspaper "El Comercio" and if this influences positively or negatively on its readers. To conduct this research, a quantitative approach was used, with which it was possible to analyze and predict the behavior of the population through quantifiable information, i.e., that could be expressed through numbers and verified. In addition, a virtual survey was applied to 190 people through non-probabilistic "snowball" sampling. Through the content analysis on the 25 publications with informative memes of the newspaper "El Comercio" disseminated by the social network Facebook in the date January-March 2021, it was determined that its genre is 100% informative with topics of health, politics, science and culture, in addition, the memes exposed in the publications are humorous, reflective and motivational, these are complemented by text and image. Through the virtual survey it was determined that 73.7% of people use the newspaper "El Comercio" for information through the social network Facebook, they believe that the use of memes to inform is interesting, attractive and educational on the other hand, when seeing this type of content, respondents would review the page that spreads the news.
Descripción : Las redes sociales en la actualidad se han convertido en un medio novedoso de difusión masiva en la web, mediante estas las personas pueden crear, publicar, interactuar y transmitir información causando que los medios tradicionales de comunicación como la prensa escrita, la televisión y la radio migren a estas plataformas y creen espacios virtuales, esto ha modificado su estructura tradicional por un proceso interactivo, cambiante y dinámico. La presente investigación pretende determinar la credibilidad de los usuarios de la red social Facebook del Diario “El Comercio” frente al contenido informativo de los memes difundido por este medio, es importante identificar el tipo de contenido que publica el diario “El Comercio” y si este influye de manera positiva o negativa en sus lectores. Para realizar esta investigación se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo, con este método se pudo analizar y predecir el comportamiento de la población a través de la información cuantificable, es decir, que se pudo expresar mediante números y se verificó. Además, se aplicó una encuesta virtual a 190 personas mediante el muestreo no probabilístico “bola de nieve”. Mediante el análisis de contenido sobre las 25 publicaciones con memes informativos del diario “El Comercio” divulgados por la red social Facebook en la fecha enero- marzo 2021 se determinó que su género es 100% informativo con temáticas de salud, política, ciencia y cultura, además, los memes expuestos en las publicaciones son de tipo humorístico, reflexivo y motivacional, estos se complementan mediante el texto y la imagen. A través de la encuesta virtual se determinó que el 73,7% de personas utilizan el diario “El Comercio” para informarse mediante la red social Facebook, estos creen que el uso de memes para informar es interesante, atractivo y educativo por otro lado al ver este tipo de contenido los encuestados revisarían la página que difunde la noticia.
