| Abstract: | The objective of this research was to relate personality dimensions with psychological well-being in caregivers of people with disabilities. This research is descriptive and correlational, we worked with a population sample of 90 caregivers of people with disabilities who belong to the home visit program of the "Fundación Construyamos un Sueño". Psychological tests such as the Eysenck EPQ-R Personality Questionnaire and the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale were applied. The data analysis was carried out with the statistical program (SPSS) through the Spearman's Rho statistical correlation test, which determined that there is a relationship between the Personality Dimensions and Psychological Well-being. The dimension of extraversion is related to the dimensions of self-acceptance, purpose of life and total well-being, the dimension of neuroticism is related to the dimensions of mastery of the environment and positive relationships, the dimension of psychoticism had no correlation with the dimensions of Psychological Well-being and the sincerity scale was related to the domain of the environment and total wellbeing dimensions. In addition, it was determined that the most prevalent dimension in caregivers was psychoticism, followed by the dimension of neuroticism and extraversion, the sincerity scale obtained a very high rank regarding the truthfulness of the answers. Regarding psychological well-being, a high range was obtained with 77% of caregivers. | Description: | La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo relacionar las dimensiones de personalidad con el bienestar psicológico en cuidadores de personas con discapacidad. Esta investigación es de tipo descriptiva y correlacional, se trabajó con una muestra poblacional de 90 cuidadores de personas con discapacidad que pertenecen al programa de visitas domiciliarias de la “Fundación Construyamos un Sueño”. Se aplicaron reactivos psicológicos como Cuestionario de Personalidad Eysenck EPQ-R y la Escala de Bienestar Psicológico de Ryff. El análisis de datos se realizó con el programa estadístico (SPSS) a través de la prueba de correlación estadística de Rho de Spearman, la cual determinó que existe relación entre las Dimensiones de Personalidad y Bienestar Psicológico. La dimensión de extraversión se relaciona con las dimensiones de autoaceptación, propósito de vida y total de bienestar, la dimensión de neuroticismo se relaciona con las dimensiones de dominio del entorno y relaciones positivas, la dimensión de psicoticismo no tuvo correlación con las dimensiones de Bienestar Psicológico y la escala de sinceridad tuvo relación con las dimensiones de dominio del entorno y total de bienestar. Además, se determinó que la dimensión con más prevalencia en los cuidadores fue la de psicoticismo, seguido de la dimensión de neuroticismo y extraversión, la escala de sinceridad obtuvo un rango muy alto respecto a la veracidad en las respuestas. Respecto al Bienestar psicológico, se obtuvo un rango alto con el 77% de cuidadores. No se presentaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en las puntuaciones de ambas pruebas de acuerdo con el género, excepto en psicoticismo. |
