Description: | The transportation system in Ecuador is a fundamental axis for raising economy. Its importance is based on the number of local and interprovincial users of the service. This research identifies the difference between the interprovincial transportation service organizations in the province of Tungurahua, which generate their services through the implementation, monitoring and control of their processes and those that do not have a process management system standardized and customer focus during the service provided. Moreover, the maturity of the processes is studied due to the fact that it is a fundamental factor to discern the level of implementation and control of the standardized activities that companies maintain in order to generate a service. The determination of the influence of a process management system in the interprovincial transport service of Tungurahua province, allows identifying the conditions of the organizational context as well as the level of influence of this management with the level of satisfaction on the service that is delivered to each client or user. In this study, the data was collected directly from the data available on the transportation companies of Tungurahua in order to compare the differences in percentage points between the management indicators, which shows a wide dispersion that makes difficult to determine trends with sustained distributions. In addition, the correlation between the level of maturity and profitability was analyzed, identifying a median indirect correlation, which explains the level of maturity reached by the cooperatives and their results in the management indicators. The correlation between maturity and average sales per customer is positive, however, it reflects a high dispersion of the data that does not allow to define a strong correlation between both factors and therefore it cannot be concluded that a variable can be explained by the other. During this study, was identified that the service process could be improved to show better results in the future. In this context, was designed a proposal of main service process. |
