Description: | Latin America has presented frustration in inequality, which has generated problems in economic development. Ecuador is not indifferent to this situation since the distribution of income has been inefficient in the period 2003 - 2016 according to the studies and the review of the research background, so the research presents two axes of study: the first focused on the theoretical review that allows to know the evolution and behavior of each variable, and the second axis that, through an Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) econometric model, the relationship of six macroeconomic determinants (education, public spending, taxes, unemployment rate, exports and economic growth) with respect to income distribution is studied for know their level of influence and the type of relationship of each one of them, concluding that the determinants raised are influential in the model and that the economic measures and public policies that Ecuador has managed have been optimal, however there are variables that need further increase in care so that income distribution is efficient, ensuring access to basic needs for the entire population |
