“Estimulación temprana en el desarrollo del lenguaje en una paciente con neurofibromatosis tipo 1”

Abstract

The present research has a purpose analyze the Early Stimulation in the development of language in a patient with neurofibromatosis type 1. The research is of a qualitative character, since it describes characteristics of an uncommon pathology in childhood. Neurofibromatosis type 1 is a pathology of autosomal dominant hereditary character, characterized by cutaneous pigmentations with appearance as a “coffee with milk", neurofibromas, inguinal mottling, brain tumors, bone lesions and iris hamartomas, they can also be presented neuropsychological alterations which can affect the language procesa, reading, writing, mathematics and spelling. This pathology was diagnosed in the patient of 4 months age, nowadays the girl has a low level of attention, concentration and language. Faced with a low level of language development, innovative activities of Early Stimulation are proposed to develop the language, activities that capture the attention and interese of the patient, based on the game, which helps the fulfillment of prelinguistic and linguistic cognitive functions, favoring the development of language, for a better development of the patient into the society. The alternative treatment proposal is directed to the CEMS-JL Multisensory and Early Center, trying to improve the intervention towards the patient.
