Abstract: The main purpose of this research project is to gather information about the importance and use of mobile applications in the improvement of speaking skill from the Languages Career at Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Moreover, the current investigation maintains a qualitative approach, since the data was collected through a survey that was applied to 75 students. Additionally, it was descriptive research, with a statistic method to collect valuable information. Theoretical support and data obtained from the survey allowed to identify that mobile applications are not frequently used in Languages Career to enhance the English speaking skills. It is concluded that data was analyzed through the calculation of Chi square, which was used for getting important results about the use of mobile applications.
