Abstract: The purpose of this investigation was to extract, to process and to preserve canine semen by means of the use of canine thinner, storing in different temperatures and times of conservation. The samples usedwere of 10 males canine of medium race, with a normal condition of health and with an age between 2-4 years. After realized the compilation of the semen, total volume was separated in 2 equal parts to use a thinner with the first fraction and thesecond fraction was preserve without thinner. Immediately was realized the evaluation of the microscopic characteristics (Individual motility, Mass motility, Mortality, Morphology) to determine the viability of every sample.Once evaluated all the samples were proceeded to preserve them at different temperatures (Temperature sets, Refrigeration or 5°C and Freezing or -192°C) and realize a new evaluation before a determinate period of time. The sample to temperature sets was evaluated every day until results exceeding the acceptable ranges. The refreshed sample was evaluated to 15 days post-refrigeration. The frozen sample evaluated 30 days post freezing in liquid nitrogen. In the statistical part a Design was use a completely at random with Tukey's test to 5% with 6 treatments and 10 repetitions. The best results were obtained in the samples that were preserved with thinner since it was awaited.
