    This research emphasizes the tourism industry in the socioeconomic development of the city of Puyo. Which involves research problem and the formulation of the problem is posed as follows performed socio-economic development of the city in relation to tourism, with the realization of the problem tree analysis was performed the causes and effects of the problem, coming to determine the main theme, the tourism industry in economic development. With investigations, the variables and the theoretical basis is analyzed, getting various information sources dealing with the topic the tourism industry and socio-economic development that contributes to the investigation and prosecution conducted this research is done according the It needed for the research project. The methodology, this section the research method is described and the plan of collecting and processing information is displayed, thus determining the size of the population and sample for this research project the sample size is 125 tourism businesses from various sectors such as housing, food, tour operation, fun and transportation. Analysis and Interpretation of Results: An analysis of the results of the surveys of 125 owners and the three technicians official tourism entities that handle runs.
