The current research attempts to analyze conjunctural policies implemented by the President Rafael Correa affecting Foreign Investment in Ecuador and its influence on the unemployment rate in recent years. There are no similar studies in the country in which these kind of macroeconomic indicators are analyzed. And there is no need of ponting out the importance of this information for decision making both for the country in an effort to improve the policies applied and also for foreign investors. The primary objective of the study was to identify whether policies related to Foreign Investment have had any impact on the unemployment rate at all. The methodology which has been used for the project development was a Bibliographic research using statistical data from the Ecuador Central Bank and INEC related with the research topic variables. The data analysis conclude that the foreign investment affected the unemployment rate in the period analyzed as several policies applied affected negatively to foreign investment. This was so because of a series of structural changes in the country in function of their political ideology. Based on this background, we propose an incentive project for the Foreign Investment through the exemption from income tax for the first five years of operation and successive discounts of 10 % in the next five years with an expected improvement in labor indicators.
