This research project aims to analyze of the relationship between solid waste management and profitability in the Credit Union Ambato Chamber of Commerce. In order to support the research, are considered theories and research related to the topic of study. This study also fits into a bibliographic and field research mode; interview and survey were used as tools. In addition, it was important to implement observation techniques; they allowed collecting important and necessary data to clarify certain questions of the studied variables from the project. Parallel, horizontal and vertical financial analysis were carried out, using financial indices, through which significant results were obtained about the current financial status of the company, as well as the impact that involves the poor management of waste paper role in profitability. Conclusions and recommendations are set for completion of the study, with which it’s intended to guide the Financial and Operational departments of the company, to a proper waste paper management.
