After carrying out the evaluation, it was determined that the parental styles do have a positive and negative influence on the academic performance of the girls. It was also found that the parental style that teens perceive most frequently in relation to their parents is the Authoritarian, which is characterized by excessive control and absence of affection, while in regard to mothers, adolescents perceive them as Authoritative, style in which open affection is manifested, an adequate control and demand. On the other hand in relation to psychological well-being it was evident that those adolescents who perceived an authoritarian style were those who obtained low psychological well-being, while those who perceived an authoritative style showed high performance.
