Item Incidencia de dislipidemias en conductores de transporte liviano (taxis) en la ciudad de Latacunga(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Laboratorio Clínico, 2023-03-01) Zapata Herrera, Ulices Fernando; Pacha Jara, Ana Gabriela Bqf. Msc.Dyslipidemias are defined as an alteration in the concentration of lipids in the blood that arise as a result of the abuse of fat consumption, cigarette and alcohol consumption, sedentary lifestyle, poor eating habits and obesity. The objective of this study was to determine the incidence of dyslipidemia in light transport drivers (cab) in the Latacunga city, for which 95 drivers participated, of whom 86 were men and 9 women, lipid profile analysis was performed using a blood sample, as well as the calculation of the BMI of each of the participants. The results obtained in the investigation showed that there is an incidence of Dyslipidemia of 85.26%, where 58.94% presented hypercholesterolemia, 54.73% hypertriglyceridemia, 53.68% high LDL, 31.57% low HDL and 36.84% mixed dyslipidemia. At the same time, the calculation of the BMI of all the participants was made, observing that 26.31% were within their normal weight, 54.73% were overweight and 18.94% obese.
