In developing countries like Ecuador, the lack of an adequate sewage and sanitation system is evident. According to the Ministry of Public Health, in 2021 more than 100,000 cases of acute diarrheal diseases were recorded, of which 80 percent are associated with lack of access to drinking water and adequate sanitation. For this, the design parameters were estimated, including a topographic survey, surveys, and the determination of the sanitary flow through the population's water consumption, respecting the standards and using the formulas of the Bolivian Standard NB 688. The stormwater flow through runoff and the maximum rainfall intensity of the project area. As a result, the designed sewer network consists of 98 wells, of which 6 have a maximum depth of 4 meters and 16 wells with a jump. In addition, a total of 96 pipes with a diameter of 250 millimeters are calculated, covering a total length of 5,956 meters. Finally, an economic study was carried out in which items were identified, and the technical specifications, APUs, and budget were prepared, obtaining a total construction cost of 492,274.23 dollars in an estimated time of 6 months (24 weeks). The system Not only will it provide an essential service to the benefited communities, but it would also contribute to the protection of the environment and sustainable development, in addition to reducing diseases and improving the living conditions of the population.
